DEKALB CRASH KILLS TWO ON STONE MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY

When lanes are closed down on the highway, it can be a sign of a terrible car accident. When a loved one is hurt or killed in a crash, it can be a very difficult time for the family. A serious injury can lead to a long time in the hospital or even death in very severe cases. It is difficult to grapple with a sudden change in life like the injury or death of a loved one. Auto accidents are unfortunate events that can lead to serious injuries in Georgia.

Two people were killed in an accident on Stone Mountain Highway recently. The accident occurred near Mountain Industrial Boulevard in DeKalb County. The driver and passenger of a white car flipped when it hit a guardrail and crashed into an SUV. Both the car driver and passenger were killed. The SUV driver was unharmed. The driver of the car was ejected from her seat. Eastbound and westbound lanes were closed for several hours.

A serious injury or death can lead to a sudden change for family members of the victims. It can lead to a loss of income, high medical expenses and other costs. It is devastating to lose someone in a car accident, but victims or their family members may be eligible to receive compensation if another person was at fault. Negligence on the road could involve intoxication, improper signaling or failure to adhere to poor road conditions. Being unsafe on the road not only impairs driving ability, but may have deadly results for other drivers.
