Transcript: Nursing home negligence is when a nursing home fails to comply with applicable laws, policies and procedures and industry standards in the provision of care to its residents. At Watkins, Lourie, Roll & Chance we believe that an elderly person, no matter how sick they may be, has certain rights and deserves to be treated appropriately and with dignity at all times. We handle a variety of nursing home cases including the development of pressure sores, situations where the resident falls and becomes injured and failure of the nursing home to provide sufficient hydration and nourishment to the residents. Very often even when a nursing home has been negligent, the nursing home it as an excuse that the resident was in the process of dying, which is really no excuse for neglect. In addition to obtaining justice for individual clients, we believe that pursuing these cases makes the nursing home industry improve the care they provide residents.
